This is cricket for children, run by the England and Wales Cricket Board. It provides children between 5 and 8 the opportunity to experience cricket. The sessions run for about 8 weeks in the run up to the summer holidays and the cost is reasonable (last year is was £40 for 8 sessions and this included a backpack, personalised t-shirt, bat, ball, cap and activity pack. ) All Stars Cricket ![]() BIKE RIDES
I don't care for cycling on roads - just too many cars and too dangerous, especially if The Boy is cycling too. These are our favourite non-road bike rides... Bike Rides ![]() CAMPING
We tried out camping for the first time a few years ago and have really grown to love it. We love the outdoors and campsites are great for children as there is lots of running around in the fresh air and the opportunity to meet new friends. The Dog can come along too so everyone is happy. These are our favourite campsites...Camping ![]() CHILDREN'S PARTIES - EAST YORKSHIRE
Over the years, we have attended numerous birthday parties at different locations all over East Yorskhire. This is our list of our favourite parties...Children's Parties in East Yorkshire ![]() FOSSIL HUNTING
We got into fossil hunting a few years ago after a chance find of part of an ammonite on an East Yorkshire beach. This spurred us on and since then we have found numerous items of interest up and down the Yorkshire coast. Fossil Hunting ticks a lot of our boxes - it is in the fresh air, it's a family activity and The Dog can have a run.. Here is a list of our favourite fossil hunting spots in Yorkshire. ![]() PUFFIN SPOTTING We are fortunate to have easy enough access to the Yorkshire Coast. One of our favourite activities is heading to RSPB reserve Bempton Cliffs in East Yorskhire to try and spot the Puffins from mid-April to Mid July. There are also lots of other amazing birds to spot all year round and you might even get to spot a porpoise or whale... RSPB Bempton Cliffs ![]() ROCK CLIMBING
Indoor rock-climbing, A lot of active fun for the children and a chance for the parents to sit and have a coffee in relative peace and quiet - or if you fancy adults can partake in rock climbing too. An excellent form of calorie-burning I am told..(I prefer the coffee option!).-Rock-Up ![]() SKIING IN AUSTRIA
