HUMBER STREET DISTILLERY

HUMBER STREET DISTILLERY CO
Now, I know that a Gin Bar is probably not the first go-to thing you think of when wondering what to do of an afternoon with a young child in tow...However, we visited the Humber Street Distillery Co after ambling down Humber Street, taking in some Art at the Humber Street Gallery, having a peek at Dead Bod, making the words go up the tidal barrier and then spying some empty seats in the Humber Street Distillery. Well, it would be rude not to have a quick visit, after all I have read about it a bit and about how good it is supposed to be...establishing children were allowed in, my bottom was on that seat quicker than a quick thing.
Wow, what an extensive menu, what to pick...I went for the Masons lavender with the Mediterranean Fever-Tree tonic and it was deeeelicious and what a presentation! The Child was pleased as he was in a grown-up bar sitting in a tall chair at the table and got to drink Fentiman’s seville orange which he quite liked.
The Dog was not with us and would not have been allowed in anyway (no dogs), but that's OK as I have banned her from Humber Street after she disgraced herself in the summer when we went to an event. Someone was sitting on a low chair eating a hot dog (so at head height for The Dog) and as she went past, she tried to grab the end of the hot dog and actually managed to give it a lick, luckily the person was quite understanding but The Dog cannot be trusted here anymore...
The Humber Street Distillery gets a big tick from me and a big tick from The Child and I look forward to sampling more of their delicious menu!
Useful Information:
The bar seems to be quite full most of the time and you might be lucky enough to get in if there are free seats, but you can also book, so if you are planning on going with more people or for a special occasion, I would recommend booking.
