MOTHER SHIPTON'S CAVE
We have been a few times to Mother Shipton's Cave and have enjoyed it every time. There is lots of interest to see there and it is a beautiful walk along the River Nidd, through the woodland, past the adventure playground to the petrifying well (England's oldest visitor attraction - open since 1630) where the magical water has turned various items to stone. Just around the corner from this you come to the wishing well and Mother Shipton's cave. There are all sorts of events arranged in the school holidays. You can see updated information on the website:
