NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM

NATURAL HISTORY MUSEUM
Location: Cromwell Road, SW7 5BD (near the Science Museum)
The Natural History Museum, always a treat. Every time we go there is something new that we discover. This time around, now that we are into our Fossil Hunting, we particularly enjoyed seeing the Ichthyosaur fossils discovered by Mary Anning in the first half of the 19th Century. She was indeed a fossil hunting pioneer and a true inspiration. The dinosaur exhibit also definitely has the wow factor with its animatronic t-rex. (It gets busy - go early to avoid queues). The Blue Whale (called Hope) - her size is breathtaking and very humbling. There are also many other galleries filled with wonderment and often other exhibitions and events going on. This time around we got to swoosh (fall) about on the ice-rink...
Useful Information: The NHM is open from from 10.00 to 17.50. Closed 24-26 December. Free entry. Charges may apply for certain exhibitions. Website: Natural History Museum
