PUDDING LANE

PUDDING LANE
Location: This is just a short walk away from the Tower of London - it is near the North side of London Bridge.
Another spot to visit for some historical insights. This is where the Great Fire Of London started on the 2nd of September in 1666. It burned for 4 days and destroyed the medieval City of London inside the old Roman City Wall. The fire started at the bakery on Pudding Lane and rapidly spread to the West, through the densely populated streets lined with wooden houses. The fire eventually stopped on the 6th of September after firebreaks created by demolishing buildings managed to stop the advance of the fire.
