Easy to make, fun and educational. No grout required. Perfect for keeping busy or to make as a gift.
We have used 10mm x 10mm Glass Tiles to make these. If you are planning on making multiple coasters, bear in mind with the mixed tiles that some colours might run low quite quickly so it might be a good idea to get additional extra colours or double up on the packs.
EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:
MOSAIC TILES
10 x 10 COASTERS
PVA GLUE
MOSAIC TILE NIPPERS (Optional - to cut tiles in half)
CORK BACKING (Optional - as extra backing)
Instructions:
1. If you think it might be helpful, using a ruler, you can draw a grid of 10cm x 10cm on the coaster to help placement.
2. Apply the glue to the coaster - we have found that horizontal or vertical lines seem to work best.
3. Move the tiles as necessary - they can be slid into the right position until the glue has set.
4. Wait for the glue to dry (up to 24 hours)
